Go on nature walk and gather some leaves. When home we need paint, crayons, or markers, glue, and paper. Glue the leaves to the paper then talk about body parts like example what’s on your face, we have arms and legs how many. Have the children create leaf people or animals by glue eye (can use buttons, googly eye, hole puncher pieces, finger print, and so on be creative) color mouth or use noodles or string.
What are you hoping the children get from this project?
I am hoping they learn about different kinds of leaves and color! Also, to review simple body parts like legs, eyes, nose etc.
How can you expand this lesson? Making it a collage or a whole picture!
