Song: All Around The Farm: Directional Words and Spatial Concepts
Activity:
Dance using either a scarf or a dish towel (Follow along with the song: Shake your scarf up/down, to the left, right, under, behind, etc.)
Other ideas to try:
Build your own farm
-What materials are you going to use? (ie. blocks, Lego's, can's of food, a table with a sheet over it, sticks, rocks, sea shells, boxes).
-After you create your farm
*Can you stand next to it? In front of it? Behind it? Inside of it? (or use plastic animals, dolls, stuffed animals, etc.)
Play hide and go seek with a stuffed animal: give clues to the person that is looking for the stuffed animal ("it is under a piece of furniture or it is next to something with 4 legs, etc.)
Go for a walk with someone
-Describe what you see in nature (ie. Look at the tree next to the big rock. See the bird in the water? I am going to climb on top of the big log! etc.)
