  1. Practice learning name
    1. Review the letter names in your child’s written name. This could be written on anything and everything! Next: Review, review, review.
    2. Practice building child’s written name.
One way you could do this is make a “Sun Name” craft.
  • Cut shapes out, parent writes name in the center sun shape for child to use as a guide. Some children may be ready to practice writing the letters on their own, but many may benefit from parent writing letters in and allowing child to practice building their name in the correct order. Again review the letter names as they do this.
​2. Read, Read, Read. Include books as much as you can in different parts of your day.  Below I have attached a wonderful reading handout to look over as a guide to help build strong literacy skills with your child. Please make sure to check this out! Will be most helpful to do so before reading with your child. :)
