Monday 
Book: We’re Going on a Bear Hunt - By: Michael Rosen
Song: We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
Activity: Building a Fort/Cave
(Blankets, sheets, pillows, towels, books, etc.)
Discussion: Where can bears be found?

Tuesday
Book: The Very Cranky Bear - By: Nick Bland
Song: I Met a Bear
Activity: Making binoculars
(Toilet paper or paper towel rolls, yarn, tape, crayons / markers)
Discussion:Do bears have feelings?

Wednesday
Book: Bear Snores On - By: Karma Wilson
Song: Hibernation Song
Activity: Make a map
(Paper, markers / crayons, beads, coins, etc.)
Discussion:  What is hibernation? Where do bears hibernate?
What do bears do to prepare for hibernation?

Thursday
Book
: Bear Feels Sick - By: Karma Wilson
Song: Teddy Bear Teddy Bear Turn Around
 Activity:  Make flashlights
(1 toilet paper or paper towel roll, paper cup, glue, crayons / markers)
Discussion: Do bears get sick? What do they do when they get sick?
Do they go to the doctor like we do?

Friday
Book: Bear Counts - By: Karma Wilson
Song: The Bear Went Over the Mountain
Activity: Number Memory Game
Make 20 paw prints using index cards or paper &
a pencil / markers to play memory game. Measure your own foot.
Discussion:
How big bears’ their paws? How many toes do they have?

Activity: Draw a picture of your pet or a
​pet that you would like to have
(Paper, markers and crayons)
Discussion: Do you have a pet? If so what size, color, how old,
is it a girl or a boy  etc. If you don’t, what kind
of pet would you like to have and why?

Tuesday
Book: The Birthday Pet - By: Ellen Javernick
Song: I Had a Little Turtle
Activity: Make a turtle
(Green, black white paper, paper plate, markers / crayons, scissors)
Discussion: What other types of animals can people have as pets?

Wednesday
Book: Some Pets - By: Angela DiTerlizzi

Activity: Make a dog
(Paper bag, black and white paper,, any
color of paper for the collar, glue, scissors)
Discussion: What kinds of things does your pet like to do,
for fun, what silly things does your pet do etc.?

Thursday

Activity: Make a cat
(Paper plate, yarn, paint, black marker,
glue, scissors, paintbrush )
Discussion: Do fish have feelings? If so how can you tell
when they are sad, happy, scared etc?

Book: Pete The Cat A Pet For Pete By: James Dean
Song: Ten Little Fishies
Activity: Make a fish bowl
(White paper, blue and orange paint, glue, scissors,
beans or anything you have at home to make the
bottom of the fish bowl, Paint brush)
Discussion: What kind of fun things would you
like to do with your pet that you can’t do?
