Materials

1. coffee filters 
2. markers
3. water
4. spray bottle 

Activity (Procedure):

1. fill up your spray bottle with water.
2. fold your coffee filter in fours
3. draw different designs on your coffee filter with your markers.
4. After drawing on your coffee filter, unfold the coffee filter, and spray it with the water.  

Activity Wrap Up:
Ask your child, Why do you think that happened, after spraying the water on the coffee filter?

How do I know what my child is learning? (Assessment)
Is your child able to fold the coffee filter? Is your child able to spray water on the coffee filter?

How can you extend this activity? (Modifications)
You can give them scissors, if they want to cut little shapes and stuff

Helpful Hints: (Pitfalls & Solutions)
