What is the lesson (overall purpose)?
To create bugs using outdoor nature things
MA Guidelines/Standards:
SEL7: The child will demonstrate the ability to communicate with others in a variety of ways.
SEL8: The child will engage socially, and build relationships with other children and with adults.
APL 2: The child will demonstrate eagerness and curiosity as a learner.
APL4: The child will demonstrate creativity in thinking and use of materials.

Materials
Go outside and collect sticks, leaves, pine needles, pebbles etc.

Activity (Procedure):
make any bug using these materials
Activity Wrap Up:
Read the book then ask them questions about the book
How do I know what my child is learning? (Assessment)
Are they able to remember things that happened in the book
How can you extend this activity? (Modifications)
they can include their habitat for their insect that they made on Wednesday
Helpful Hints: (Pitfalls & Solutions)
If you don’t have any paper, you can just make your bug outside in your backyard
